40 years QL !

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Sinclair QL, an International QL Meeting will take place in Dormagen on May 17/18/19, 2024.

The conference hotel will be the Hotel Restaurant Höttche, Dormagen (Hotel Hoettche).

There are currently access restrictions on the homepage (Geo filter). (I have already reported this error and

it is being worked on). If you need booking assitance, please give me a note.

The price for an overnight stay is 89 euros for participants of the meeting and 6 euros for overnight parking.

Please mention the "Computertreffen" to get the special price.

Arrival is planned for Friday, May 17th. The rooms will be available for us from midday. Departure would be on Sunday morning.

We will eat and drink directly in the adjoining restaurant.

The hotel is located approx. 1.8 km from Dormagen train station.

The train station Dormagen can be reached by train with the Regio in about 1/2h from the airports Düsseldorf and Cologne.

All trains also stop at Cologne main station, so that rail travelers can also travel from there on the same Regio.

Slower but more frequent (every 20 minutes) is the S11 on the same route (one change from Düsseldorf).

Agenda:

We will meet at the hotel from Friday lunchtime. (I can be there from 12:00).

We will start setting up our equipment and have a first exchange.

In the evening we can have dinner together in the hotel restaurant, as mentioned above.

The official part starts on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. The catering is "a la carte" from the restaurant.

There is no official end to the day.

About the guests:

Guests from Norway, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK and of course Germany are expected.

Urs König and Peter Graf will be giving presentations.

The names of other prominent participands will be published here as soon as I have permission to do so.

There will also be a small exhibition on the subject of 40 years of QL. The following machines will be shown:

BlackBox QL with and without SGC, with IDE interface and hard disk, QXL in a black mini case, Q40/60, Q68, Q-Zero with adapter board and other additional equipment such as Qimi (replica) and of course the Qimsi in the case.

These are devices from my own stock, if someone brings other modules / computers, these can also be exhibited.

For a better planning, please send me your confirmations ! Independent of a booking at the hotel !
